The Glen Innes Health Hub is moving into its next chapter, with services relocating to the Glen Innes Highlands Hub at 167 Grey Street.
The Glen Innes Health Hub will continue to operate independently as its own service from within the Glen Innes Highlands Hub, providing the community with access to health navigation, telehealth and other support services.
This transition reflects the changing healthcare needs of the Glen Innes community. As more doctors become available locally to provide face-to-face care, the Health Hub is continuing to evolve to ensure people can still access the support they need. The Hub will keep connecting community members with the right services, whether they are available close to home or online. It will continue to offer GP telehealth appointments and access to a range of specialist and allied health services, helping people get care when and where they need it most.
From its new location within the Glen Innes Highlands Hub, the Health Hub will be open weekdays from 9am to 5pm.
Services available through the Health Hub include:
- Service Navigation and health system support
- GP telehealth appointments
- Online mental health services
- Diabetes specialist support
- Speech pathology, physiotherapy and occupational therapy for neurological conditions
- NDIS navigation support
- My Aged Care navigation support
A key part of the Health Hub is its Service Navigator. Through a personalised, non-clinical conversation, the Service Navigator works alongside individuals to help them understand their health needs and connect with the right local and online services. Along the way, they provide information, education and practical support to make the process easier and more reassuring.
Community members can access GP telehealth appointments by visiting www.gleninneshealthhub.com.au and booking through the online appointment system. For anyone who would like extra support, staff at the Health Hub can also assist in person with making a booking and accessing services.
While the location is changing, the Health Hub’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of the Glen Innes community remains the same. It will continue to be a welcoming place where people can seek guidance, find support and connect with the care they need.
